Kelly Ann Lindsey
Mother, Meditation Teacher, Mind-Body Therapist, Co-founder of Dakini Meditative
Kelly’s meditative journey began more than twenty years ago and has included many different styles of practice and paths of study. She has completed the two-year Shambhala School of Buddhist Studies; Sutrayana Seminary; a six-year advanced Buddhist studies program at Diamond Mountain University; and many individual and group retreats. Having received formal instruction in different Tibetan Buddhist lineages, Kelly has found a wonderful integration of deep practice and study realized in the context of everyday life.
She’s found that all of these teachings have culminated in one main lesson: how to live in the world with an open heart. Her spiritual practice is inextricably connected to her daily life, as she brings together her roles of mother, meditation teacher, mind-body therapist, and entrepreneur. She’s found that the Buddhist teachings have provided an essential guide for how to live an authentic and meaningful life. She actively shares these teachings with those around her, both through embodying them in her life as well as through teaching classes at Dharma Yoga and Be Well in Austin, Texas and online through Dakini Meditative and MindOasis.org.
Kelly’s upcoming book features four essential Buddhist teachings that can help us to navigate the inevitable turbulence of life and find ease in the midst of suffering. Through sharing her own life’s journey, she helps you find ease and freedom as you navigate your own path. A Path to Love: Buddhist Teachings and Reflections on Loving Kindness, Compassion, Joy, and Equanimity will be published in 2020 by Lion Heart Press.
Kelly lives in Austin, TX with her greatest teachers: her three children, Hunter, Elise, and Jackson, her husband, Adam, and their dog, Sammy.
